Countess Carmilla Caliphvaso: Wanted a fountain of youth, using combination of alchemy & necromancy. Mysterious cases of young women disappearing. She is not dead but possesses vermin to sustain herself.
Whispering Way Potion → create a lich (for high up person).
Winery: 3 huge barrels inside. Hidden trapdoor discovered. Appears to be smugglers tunnel.
Next day: eat breakfast. Bought an open top carriage & travelled up. Hide carriage nearby and discussed out options.
Underground Passage: Go north, then left off a passageway. entered into a chamber (crypt & Shrine of St Lymirin). As exploring, Rhada possessed by vampire. After making deal with him, he releases Rhada. Explains about the countess. Conus (very skilled blood knight. 2 bastard sword style) & Naga. Told about a chamber in the complex. Ghosts of 2 hags exist here, but Sister betrayed them & took 2 witches to substitute Coven numbers.
Returned to inn to take stock of situation and plan to search for Gathar. Gathar is drinking in the Inn. Returned to taylors place to check basement. Sent Minion/Greedle first, ambushed by vampires in basement.
After defeating most vampires, spent 2 hours digging Greedle out of the collapsed room ahead. Sent for Kendra who brought a case filled with potions. used a potion of Restoration on Leilithar to bring her back.
Discovered staked and chained vampire in coffin. Searching around, found a journal (of Radvier) containing proof of nobles attempting to kill off vampires, along with request for vampire bodies & letters demonstrating proof count wanted. Found info on 2 witches attempting to create a potion engendering undeath, side effect is bloodbuff (drug used by vampires). Brock intimidates the vampire for information.
Vampire talk: Suggests containing Radvier’s coffin, can take advantage. Twin vampires are best minions he has. Has a hat of disguise & cloths conceal weapons.
Blood drug: can be used to make other vampires susceptable to vampires charms.
Radvier’s coffin: stone sarcophagus of some quality.
Discussing options: a) Get Church of Pharasma to help, b) get watch to help, c) get both, d) get banishment/dismissal scrolls from somewhere.
Used charm person on the staff to get them into 1 place, where we put them all to sleep. Dealt with the demons, but unfortunately, Gathar’s Golem went beserk and we got to see it completely mangle him before he disappeared. Before it could turn on us, we ran out of the warehouse, casting grease on the floor and Leilithar cast hold portal on the door.
Return to obtain samples of the drugs the thrall guards are using. Rhada talks with the guards to distract them, while Danica (Invisibled) pick pocketed the drug. Gathar investigates the potion.
Potion → grants temporary hp to living user. Vampire Spawn: gives spawn freedom from masters, unfortunately would become highly addictive.
Spoke with Count (private meeting): brought to a side waiting room. Gathar asked Danica to check something on the ground, Rhada claimed she felt strange and fainted. Gathar realised it was a poison in the air, coming from beyond the doorway. Smashed out and Brock saw an invisible imp escaping. Brought to the Decons place where Rhada was cured and we regrouped.
Meeting: Informed both Decon and Count of the situation (Imp attack & Blood/wine drug). Given drug to decon and informed them of situation regarding the fake noble letters. Count said that he is grateful and in our debt(ish). When reminded of Nosferatu, told that he is likely innocent, but must leave and aid in find stuff.
Nosferatu: told the situation and given potion. The Count was one of the key figures pointing out the flaws in allying with the Whispering Tyrant. Likely a spellcaster made the potion, not an alchemist. The whispering way were interested in securing a premise near the city. Large enough to contain a significant number of people. not sure of exact location, butnot far North of the city. Joke on location (Laughing in hoarse voice). “The Chapel is fine for a noblewomans estate”. The Lady (The Hostess) was the hostess Carmilla Caliphvaso.
Deciding what to do: wanted to rest. knocking on door and told to meet with Decon as he had found something. Decon had taken thrall & tortured one. Discovered where the drugs were coming from. Went to deal with.
Location: Discovered a dozen drugged up vampire thralls. Leillithar used daylight to kill them, while Gathar & Brock tried to find the production/distribution area. Sorceress vampire double fireballed area and us, then escaped. Rest of vampires slain.
Discovery: Sorceress was minor member of court, fled from the area. Likely fled to shop of the Taylor. Rested so that could recuperate.
Taylor Shop: Huge shop that sold high class cloths. Infiltrated the area by shopping for good cloths for Ambrotious & sending familiars to investigate. discovered 6 elite guards on the above, vampires in the basement & 3 Nabasu with ghouls in the warehouse.
Options: Attack the warehouse ourselves or inform the watch of the situation and try to implement the taylor as part of the Whispering Way.
Ambushed by 2 vampires, attempted to scratch us. Vampire’s flee after claiming the Count will get us. Realised they were trying to hoodwink us. Decided on next target → Lady. Guards outside ask what happened.
Lady Evgenya Zunaida → brought to East of complex. Oppulant greeting chamber inside. Can hear laughter from beyond. Inside, 4 people (Clean). Claim that they are friends of Lady Zunaida, who is convinced to come out (beautiful young woman). Talks to us, but offers 3 girls a dance.
All hunted in restoration park briefly before disappearing.

Lady: One of the Elder vampires, older than Quenleys Mother. They seemed to know one another.
Decon/Inquisitor Desmund Coat: He examined the stakes which were found with the murder weapons. Claims they appear to all be made by the same origin (i.e. chair legs, with identical patterns). They appear to have been used (spliters and bits of fabric between each). Brought up issue about the substance abuse amongst some of the vampire thrall guards (sweating blood & throbbing veins).
Drugs/Bottles Plan → Attempt to obtain one of the bottles & have Gathar investigate it.
East Door → Catacomb corridor. 6 Coffins with vampire spawn discovered and dealt with. After an hour’s walking, Quinley informed us about guards ahead. Decided to let the Dhampire speak with guards (5, 1 woman, rest men). Brought through to 4 vampire elite guards who allowed us to be escorted to the vampire overlord. warned not to reach for weapons or will be cut down.
Brock & Gathar → Vamprie spawn guards are sweating blood and are twitchy. (Gathar) → likely substance abusers.
Church → Door with elaborate decorations (Demon Lord Zaebos iconography). Cathedral like chamber beyond the doors, 20ft high room. Statue of man with demonic fangs and wings in centre. Monk (moves silently) demands of escort who we are. Asks us to change into appropriate attire. Scowls and shouts “Louise! here!”. Summons another vampiress (dressed provocatively and likes the look of the girls of the party, while ignoring the boys).
Corridor → small window with grill at top of corridor. Sign displayed outside of chamber (Darkvision → thread is finely used). Brought to vampire tailor (Radvier Giovanni). Measured us & gave us clothing appropriate to wear (with 3 attractive vampire spawn assistants). After talks (informed him of situation with Whispering Way), lead back to the chapel with 2 guards (dressed up in formal wear as well).
Hallway → lead into by expensive large doors. Large chamber filled with iconography of beautiful fey creatures & suffering humans. Many people in the hallway (vampires, checking us out). Announced to Lord Luvick Siervage in the center (4 figures). Spoke with the elder vampire & requested information about the whispering way in the city. Given a ring to show to vampires in the city, they will not interfere as long as we have it. If we can find the killer, bring it to him & he shall offer his protection to us and our loved ones for as long as we are in Caliphas.
Doors: Gold leaf covering, at least 2000gp worth, depicting beautiful images of power and influence.
Information: i) Nosferatu captive (Ramoska Arcaminos), who is suspected to be part of the conspiracy. ii) Speak with Lady Evgenya Zunaida, who believes she is the next victim. iii) Decon Desmond coats, keeps the cathedral to the north. iv) Tailor i also worth speaking to.
Interrogate Nosferatu: taken by guards to the eastern side. Brought into a pumping house. Spoke with Ramoska, admitted he was an alchemist who made a potion to aid in becoming a Lich (being commissioned by the Whispering Way). Wants to have something for his information. Willing to help us screw over the WW since they didnt pay him.
Speak with Radvier: wasnt present. opened a boobytrapped cabinet & found letters (leilithar discovered previously). Brock and Danica notice movement in the side of their eyes. See 2 vampires form & try to rapier Gathar and grapple Rhada.
Letters: discuss nobles belief in having vampires culled, noble names listed. Leilithar discovers that nobles listed have been absent from the city for a few months. Must take them to a specialist to discover if these are fake.
Decided to leave & come back during Daytime. Told that Mistress has dominated minions who can activate the traps.
Following Day → met up outside park.
The Pond of Contemplation: A perfect rectangle, lined with columns and the trees of the park come in close, giving this beautiful atmosphere.
Outside Greenhouse, gave donations to doorman and allowed in. Found entrance to sewer with Giant Flytrap on top of it. Decided to use gaseous form spells and dimension doors to enter.
Underground chamber: 2 exits. Followed Quenley as he tried to recall how he got down into the vampire chamber. Eventually find a hidden door (disbelieve illusion), which is opened using Knock spell. Entered inside & found room with old sarcophagus with old blood stains.
West Door: 3 upright wooden coffins, strong pine smell in them. Large ash tree in the middle.
South Door: Door wont budge.
East Door: Catacomb corridor. openings with 6 coffins inside. Rhada is distracted by the door as Gathar is attacked by 2 vampire thralls.
Gathar & Leilithar: disappeared to do something. Returns later with Mayor Greedle as a brain the a jar on a flesh golem body.
Rhada: made some alchemical cartridges & enjoy the rest of the day.
Ambrotious: investigating the disappearances of the people.
Crowd knowledge: Number of citizens of wealth & standing have gone missing (people with businesses, donated to charity.) Unsure of they are in hiding or dead.
Meeting at the Theatre: Meeting with Kendra beforehand who gave some advice. Met with Curator of the Quarterfaux. After, met with many other members of the Order (lots of rich people). Met Grand Master Edjureus Modd & Count Lucinean Galdana (former adventurer). Count happily needles the Grand Master. Introduced to Grand Master by the Count. After being told GM might consider their request to see their library, team decided to try to get Curator to give them permission (Rhada takes one for the team) & gets the team a day to see the collection.
The Moribund Key → (skull with red eyes on pendant). Traditional item used to allow access to secret places of Whispering way (some keys have access to certain areas, but not all). Has different bits that turn, depending on how it is used. Has message spell on it at will (to member of whispering way).
Poem → is a recipe of what is required to complete ritual. Mace was optional, but they require a powerful artefact.
Whispering way in Caliphas: 1 of repositories destroyed contained a gargoyals statue which was rumoured to be able to show the location of the Whispering Way’s location (useless without the proper key). Curator recognises the gargoyle, it’s in his Vault.
Gargoyle: is magical. Activating the statue, causes an image to appear of old Caliphas. Glowing green build, the Quarterfaux archives. After image disappears, 4 images of liches appear. They demand an answer to a question which Gathar answers. The room stops getting cold & the pendant reappears around her neck.
The Old Quarterfaux: Amulet is glowing Green when in certain direction. Area lead to contains some politically sensitive items. Grodlyth is old name for place where Whispering Tyrant rose to power.
Fresco: Count of Grodlyth (Excommunicated priest of Pharasma) on 1 wall. Holding book with symbols similar to the key. Gathar changes the Key to match the fresco, causing fresco to open a secret door.
Secret passage → spiral stairway going down. Antimagic field part way down the stairway. Bottom of stairway was a laboratory of sorts. Was used until recent, no dust, but recently abandoned. Searched room, when man (Quinley Basdel) appeared. Asking if he could help us deal with the WW to avenge the death of his Mother. Decide to accept his help & meet an elder vampire in the sub-sewers to try to get information on the location of the Whispering Way. Met with Curator afterwards,
Quinley Basdel → D’hampire, whose mother was turned before he was born & was one of the victims of the recent murders. Likely, vampire deaths were done to spark hostilities between Vampires and Humans.
Vampire Meeting: In the Glass House (In Restoration Park). Told the Mistress of the Park doesnt like Visitors. Woman in brown dress. Told that Lord Sevage isnt having anyone in the sewers.
Mistress of the Park: Vampire in charge of area. Druid who was turned.
Lugvid Sevage → Ancient vampire who is said to have been one who helped lead the vampire forces against the Whispering Tyrant.
Started fighting the Headless Horseman. Danica turned his nightmare into a newt after Gathar fled in terror. Managed to dispatch. Gathar then used the mace to smash the corpse. Looted corpse of items (broken armour, flail, skull amulet, ring & amulet). left body and sack of dissolving heads.
Brock & Kendra had a wonderful dinner. Kendra found out info about The Order & was able to get an invitation to their next meeting in the Theatre. As they return home, told by watch that there was a disturbance down 1 of the streets.
Inn: Gathar went to bed early, while other 2 waited for Brock. Informed him of situation & he informed them about the Dhu
Following day: Kendra met with Brock in morning for breakfast. Told him she managed to get them an invitation for 2 days time. Went to the Watch to report the situation. Gave in the items from the headless horseman to the watch to look into. Told that if there was nothing bad, would get them back.
Discovered, after some investigation, that the Mace is The Raven’s Head, an ancient artefact which was lost. Informed the church of Pharasma of this and they gave us their blessing that we could use it against the Whispering Way, though after we are done with it (& if we survive) we should give it back.
Chatted with Leilithar & Kendra about what has happened up until now. Discussed that we should investigated the recent killings & report incidents of Ill Marsh to the Watch Headman. Kendra offered to help search for members of the Order of the Palatine Eye (she is a member, RavensGrows sole member) so could try to get an appointment. Kendra asks Brock to dinner (The Magesty – Hotel).
Meet with Captain of City Watch: watch quarters. Given names & asked to wait. After while, brought to Captain. Told that could be multiple possibilities (maybe assassin’s guild).
Story: “Corpse fell from the roof of the inn. The Innkeeper deny’s giving the man a room. 2 piles of ash, in the shape of humanoids. A wooden stake left in each of the piles. The corpse that fell also dissolved into ash quickly, leaving behind a wooden stake.”
Victim3 → Was well dressed (Old fashioned). No head.
Murder site: Inn nearby with constable standing nearby. Brock figures that ash is likely vampire-ash. Upon checking the roof, looks like all 3 bodies might have been dropped (causing 1 to roll off). Spoke with Constable: other corpses turned to ash, but were shrivelled up.
The Haraday Theatre: told situation and asked to come back the following day, was a Order meeting. Brock remembers his Date and rushes off, whilst the others are invited inside and given a small meal.
Evening return: Danice, Rhada, Gathar & Leilithar hear a horse coming. Turn to see headless, plate wearing, Nightmare riding Warrior. “Stand and surrender the Mace! Or your heads shall be taken!” Summoned 3 ghoulish direwolves.
